Theresa Ayres
Executive Board Secretary
Terri Ayres and husband, Jack, have lived in Newton since 2002. After meeting Don Byers and getting excited about the organization, Ayres quickly became involved in the art community first as a board member for ISF in 2003.
That dedication to volunteering is an important aspect of Ayres’ life. She is a charter member of Lions Club International; and holds memberships in Newton’s Diversity Alliance and in her church.
An interior designer since 1990, Ayres, now semi-retired, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the board. She loves working with people and solving problems. She believes in the importance of bringing our own individual talents and abilities to the table, and that when those unique attributes are blended with other like-minded people, great things can happen.
In addition to her responsibilities to the Board, Ayres has used her design and merchandising background to decorate and enhance the Geisler-Penquite Gift Shop at CAA where she volunteers as shop manager. In that role, she is also part of a team that helps to select items from artists and makers across the region to be featured in the shop.
