AUG 8th | 9AM to 12PM, AUG 9th | 1PM to 4PM. Learn to throw pots on the wheel with Margaret Caldwell! Perfect for beginners - Learn skills to throw simple forms that will be beautiful and usable. The class will focus on cylinders that can be turned into mugs or other objects. If you can already throw, you are free to make other forms.
After making your pots they must dry for several days & then be fired. After firing, you return to glaze your pots. They are fired again, this locks the color in place and provides that shine and toughness of stoneware. After the final firing, your pottery will be ready for pickup.
$50 per person, including a $10 non-refundable deposit to hold your spot. Please bring cash/check to pay the class fee. All the steps required for your pottery are included: instruction, clay, trimming, glaze, 2 firings.
Ages 12 & up, please enter through west handicap ramp door. Min. of 2 students to hold this class.
